Moscow Museum of Modern Art is the
first state museum in Russia which concentrates
its activities on the art of the 20th and
21st centuries. The Museum has four venues in the
historic centre of Moscow. The main building is
situated in Petrovka Street, along with the spacious
galleries in Tverskoy and Gogolevsky Boulevards.
The center of the collection is the assembly of Russian
avant-garde, from Malevich to Pirosmani.

Moscow is well known for its theatres and museums including the Bolshoi Theatre, a world-leading opera and ballet venue, the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts and the State Tretyakov Gallery.
